About Jeanne Braun
A veteran executive in the insurance and health care industries, Jeanne Braun serves as the executive vice president of hospitals and special programs at Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers of Roslyn, New York, a medical professional liability insurer. Jeanne Braun has spent nearly 20 years with the company and has carried out a wide variety of duties, including establishing a new underwriting division for hospitals and other health care facilities. This program has received accolades for its client centric approach, foregoing the typical bureaucratic structure in favor of customized risk support and professional relationships.
Before joining Physicians’ Reciprocal Insurers, Jeanne Braun worked as a hospital administrator at several New York hospitals, such as the Flushing Hospital and Medical Center, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and the Elmhurst Hospital Center. She oversaw risk management programs and claims reduction efforts, ensured compliance with the state Department of Health and accrediting agencies, managed capital expenditures, and was instrumental in the opening of one of the first pediatric bone marrow transplant units in New York.
Ms. Braun served as chairwoman of the Spencer Educational Foundation from 2005 to 2007 after spending many years on the board. She also taught as an adjunct professor at New York University and served on the board of the Long Island Insurance Community, a consortium of insurance brokers, service providers and insurance companies dedicated to fund raising for long island based charities.
